Those of us who have experienced a storm or emergency event can attest to the wide range of questions that come up after the storm has passed. Everything becomes a question, and we can find ourselves trying to search for answers in too many places with no accurate or timely information to help us navigate the next steps. If the power is out, how long before it returns or should I find propane to cook on the grill? Are there bridges in your travel path that may or may not be open due to high winds or storm effects like flooding or damage? Are there downed power lines, flooded streets or trees that prevent your safe travel around your home – or back to your home if you have evacuated? What is the status of your home, neighborhood, workplace, or your children’s school?
Once again, our goal is to provide an aggregated site for you to come to for timely information across many categories. Based on your geographic location, we will ultimately look to provide notifications as you choose, and information from the most accurate sources available. These links will include FEMA, Emergency Response Teams for your area, Red Cross, Traffic/Travel conditions, local power company status updates, available fuel and food resources and more.
We will also provide links to service providers who may have what you need after the storm passes, such as water damage/restoration services, insurance company questions, banks, social media sites for communication with family, friends and co-workers and other similar resources as needed.
